⁵ but I ·had [^Lsaw] a dream that ·made me afraid [disturbed me]. As I was lying on my bed, I saw ·pictures [fantasies] and visions in my ·mind [head] that ·alarmed [scared; terrified] me. ⁶ So I ·ordered [^Lset a decree for] all the wise men of Babylon to ·come [be presented] to me and tell me ·what my dream meant [its interpretation]. ⁷ The ·fortune-tellers [diviners], ·magicians [enchanters], ·wise men [^LChaldeans; 2:2], and exorcists came, and I told them about the dream. But they could not tell me ·what it meant [its interpretation].
